Richard Watson has experience of playing sport at professional, semi-professional and at amateur level. Richard now works as a sports massage therapist for international sports men and women, national and local athletes, sports teams and the every day person who suffer with muscular problems.

Richard has been involved in sport since a small child, always striving to achieve greatness and fulfillment in which ever sport he took his hand too. Competing in sports such as athletics, rugby, football, tennis, squash, golf, martial arts and several others gave Richard knowledge of the importance of sport for fitness and health.
Richard competed at regional, county and at national level during his sporting career, winning many awards along the way. It's this broad range of sports that Richard has learned the many different injuries and techniques of movement for sport, when you tell Richard your injury he has an understanding of your sport and injury.
From 1990 Richard worked as a freelance sports coach, working within local sport centres, schools and with the English Football Association, coaching teenage children the skills and the morals of sport.
Continuing his career knowledge Richard upgraded his skills by becoming a sports massage therapist/sports therapist, it was the next step in what was an already rewarding career. Having suffered serious injury himself Richard could see the benefits of sports massage in the aid of recovery from injury, surgery and any muscular problems.

Since setting up Apache Brave; Sports Therapist Richard Watson has been involved in many local and national sports events providing athletes with sports massage treatments to help prepare for their competitions.
Richard has helped international athletes in their pursuit for sporting glory. The knowledge Richard has gained working with world top athletes now benefits people like you, you can be sure that the service you receive is the same sports massage treatment and personal training plans that have helped Olympic athletes during the 2012 games to sporting success.
Richard was head sports massage therapist during an International hockey tournament in 2007 & worked exclusively with New Zealand women's masters' hockey team who reached the final of the event. Other highlights was working closely with
Mark Wood international polar explorer who embarked on a world first of trying to reach the North and South Pole back to back unaided. Richard provided Mark with sports therapy to aid recovery from injury and set Mark an intensive personal training plan to help build his fitness before the challenge.
It's this combination of treatments and services that sets Richard aside from other therapists; his skills and knowledge helps people like you to over come injury and set you on the right path to success.
The diversity of clients Richard has worked with has enabled Richard to adapt his skills to benefit all types of people and background, you can be sure that your injury or muscular issues can be treated with the belief Richard has dealt with before.

Apache Brave’s aim is to establish a sports massage service for the local athlete & general public that was only exclusive to the professional sportsman

Apache Brave has worked on international events treating teams and individuals as they competed for championship glory, Apache Brave can be seen at many local cycle races helping prepare cyclists for their race and aiding recovery after the event. Aside from dealing with injuries Apache Brave provides seminars on sports nutrition and sports psychology with talks on the benefits of having coaching sessions integrated with sports massage.
Other notable events that Apache Brave has been involved with are; Mike Vaughn’s Warwickshire 100 charity ride where a massage area was set up to provide relief for aching muscles after the ride, all money raised on the day went to the supporting charity.
North South Polar Challenge
Mark Wood’s North South polar challenge, Apache Brave assisted in the training, injury rehab and sports therapy to enable Mark Wood to take on the world first of reaching the south and north poles back to back unaided.
The Prince’s Trust approached Apache Brave to set up and run a massage area at their end village during the Palace to Palace cycle event in the West Midlands. Apache Brave also designed a training plan that all the cyclist where able to follow to help them complete the cycle event.
